MATCH REPORT
Mersey Valley ended their recent poor run with a comprehensive 6-0 victory over Sandbach Town.
Manager Jon Hudson called for a quick start and that is exactly what they got, roaring into a 3-0 lead in the opening 17 minutes.
Owen Adams opened the scoring with a great finish after a clever through ball from Dylan Fraine. Alfie Howarth made it 2-0 with his first goal of the season after a great move involving Evans and Woolley.
It was 3-0 when Ewan Roach continued his fine goalscoring run when he turned home from close range following Adams flick from a Callum Evans long-throw.
The fourth arrived with another great move from the visitors who despite a dry pitch were able to play some lovely passing football. Evans assisting with a brilliant cross to Adams who timed his run to perfection to power a header home.

Valley continued to dominate the game. Youngsters Charlie Hough and Jimmy Taafe came on for Dignan and Howarth and once again impressed.
Adams completed his hat-trick after a clever ball from Woolley put him clean through and he kept him composure to beat the keeper.
After a very impressive display upfront Dylan Fraine grabbed the goal his performance deserved, getting hold of a bouncing ball in the box and calmly stroking it past the keeper.
Valley continued to press, sub James Acton looking lively when he came in causing problems down the left hand side.
After a bad few weeks it was great to see smiles at full-time and with 3 games coming in the the next 10 days it’s a vital spell for the club.
