Player Bio

A talented and composed footballer, Charlie Hill joined Mersey Valley ahead of the 2026/27 season following a remarkable return to football.

Charlie played his youth football with Stockport Town before moving to Cheadle Heath Nomads, where he spent three years playing senior football.

His progress was then halted by a serious injury which kept him out of football for three years. After a long spell away from the game, Charlie returned to football during the summer of 2026 and joined Mersey Valley as part of the club’s new-look squad.

Comfortable on the ball and confident defensively, Charlie brings composure and quality to the team.

Still at the beginning of his Mersey Valley career, Charlie has already shown plenty of promise following such a lengthy absence from the game. His return to regular football is a fantastic achievement in itself, and he will be looking to continue building his fitness, confidence and performances throughout the 2026/27 season.
