Mersey Valley Football Club actively promotes equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI).
It is extremely important to us and we strive to ensure that everyone who wishes to be involved in the Club whether as a player; a fan (home and away); an employee; a Board Member; or anyone involved with the Club’s activities has a genuine opportunity to participate.
This is regardless of their age, disability, gender reassignment, marital or civil partnership status, pregnancy or maternity, race, religion and belied, sex or sexual orientation.
We aim to create an environment where everyone’s rights, dignity and individual worth are respected, and in particular that they are able to enjoy themselves at the Club without the threat of intimidation, victimisation, harassment, bullying or abuse.
We respect what each individual brings to our team and Club, no matter who they are or what their experiences may be.
This policy applies to anyone working on behalf of Mersey Valley Football Club including all employees, the Board, contractors, volunteers and anyone who represents the Club.
Staff must ensure that they comply fully with the organisation’s EDI Policy and Safer Recruitment guidance.
This policy will be implemented in accordance with the appropriate statutory requirements (such as the Equality Act 2010) and full account will be taken of all available guidance and in particular any relevant Codes of Practice.
